Horsing around at the beach.

This is me your favorite curmudgeon, no longer from the Great North Woods of NH. Now I am a city slicker from Manchester NH. In my quest for some peace and quite during the holidays I got out of the city for a few days. I spent the night before Christmas and Christmas night at Hampton Beach NH.
It was two great days and nights, I had the beach mostly to myself both days. I went to the Ashworth hotel and got a great rate on a beach view room for cheap buck. Can't beat that with a stick. Right!
believe it or not I saw a small number of surfers riding the waves on Christmas day during high tide.
I think the tide wasn't the only thing high at the beach that day. If the die hard surfers weren't high they should have been. I don't care wet suit or not it had to be cold in that water. But it was a real nice sunny day in the high thirties, still... I don't think you could catch me doing that in December at Hampton. I have posted some pictures of that day on my wep page layz1.com
Then just a few days ago my nephew Mark and I went up LL Bean in Freeport Maine and on the way home we stop by the beach again and took some pictures of some people horsing around on the beach and I am posting them to the blog with this note. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And remember if you didn't it is not my fault.
